ON SATURDAY, the Humane Society of the United States will kick-off All Creatures Great and Small, a campaign to increase awareness about our responsibilities to all animals, including those raised for food. In honor of the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment, Christians across America will take a pledge to eat fewer eggs and only eggs that come from cage-free or free-range poultry farms.
