Steve Lehmann
Associate, The Clapham Group

“Does Jesus wear penny loafers?”  Steve has enjoyed wrestling with the ‘big questions’ since his childhood.  After graduating from Valparaiso University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he shipped off to study Christian Apologetics at Oxford University, the place where the ‘big question’ was invented.  His time at Oxford convinced him of his vocation to help the poor, serve the church, and use his mind.  Following a year in the steel industry, a fellowship with a refugee advocacy firm, and two trips to Africa, Steve joined the Clapham Group where he gets to live out all three elements of his vocation on a daily basis.

Steve works closely with Mark Rodgers on a number of projects, including the ONE campaign, which is trying to end poverty and preventable diseases in sub-Saharan Africa.

In his free time, Steve enjoys sailing, skiing, and engaging in serious theological discussion over a pint of white belgian ale.
