The Clapham Group

We are a social impact agency dedicated to building bridges and promoting social change for the common good.

Inspired by our namesake—a group of 18th-century reformers who combined cultural and political influence to abolish the slave trade—our modern-day work embraces that same holistic approach.

We believe that genuine transformation happens when diverse voices come together around a shared vision of human flourishing.

Pursue Common Cause

By building a framework around shared concerns and values, we create the foundation for partnerships to be built.

Uncover Common Ground

By identifying areas of agreement through landscaping and policy analysis, we foster mutual understanding despite inevitable disagreements.

Advance Common Good

By facilitating shared actions through campaign design and execution, we build trust and promote shared flourishing.

A Legacy of Impact

The historic Clapham Group, led by William Wilberforce and poet Hannah More, demonstrated how strategic alliances could transform society. Wilberforce championed political engagement and More brought cultural influence to the fight against injustice. Together, they proved that sustainable change requires a blend of relationships, creativity, advocacy, and moral conviction.
