College Board

College Board President David Coleman wanted to explore the connection between spirituality, education, wholeness, and a flourishing society. With Coleman, we pushed beyond the norms to connect the College Board with faith communities and to create a sensitivity to faith within their programming, outreach, and operations.

Partner Landscaping

We landscaped relevant influencers, institutions, and stakeholders. We built out spreadsheets for relationship management. We tracked contacts and assigned outreach.

Coordinated Meetings & Convenings.

A natural alignment between the College Board and faith communities was a shared appreciation of sacred texts and reverence for the written word. We coordinated a gathering to read and discuss C.S. Lewis at Wheaton College in 2014. And we worked to build relationships between David Coleman and prominent faith leaders. Clapham facilitated online webinars to educate faith institutions on their programs as well as directed their presence at national homeschool conferences.

Outreach & Communications.

As a result of this relationship-building, Coleman was asked to speak on religious inclusion in education at the Q Conference, an annual gathering in Nashville showcasing culture-shaping talks from top Christian leaders. From the preparation to the follow-up, Clapham helped prepare Coleman’s talking point and connected him with Christian leaders and educators during the conference.

Media Placements.

In addition to Coleman’s first published op-ed as President of College Board that Clapham helped place in the National Review, after the Q Conference, we worked with the College Board and their communications team to turn his remarks into an op-ed that was published in Christianity Today.
