The Lazarus Effect

The Clapham Group's client  The ONE Campaign just launched their "Lazarus Effect" campaign to encourage individuals to get involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.ONE is also promoting a film called The Lazarus Effect which tells the story of several HIV victims who had access to 2 antiretroviral pills each day (costing about 40 cents a day) and reveals the medical transformation that occurred as a result of this life-saving treatment. Just as Lazarus was raised from the dead, many of these HIV/AIDS victims are being revitalized. With Clapham's help, ONE is mobilizing colleges and churches to participate in Lazarus Sunday on April 10th. Congregations and colleges are encouraged to screen The Lazarus Effect film, pray for HIV/AIDS victims, preach about AIDS, host a Sunday School discussion about the topic and engage in additional avenues to raise awareness. To get involved, visit www.one.org/faith.
