Clapham’s Christmas Viewing Guide

As we gather around to celebrate the holiday season, we have very exciting news to share! This year, we’re celebrating More Productions, Clapham’s sister company. Their incredible short film The 21 has been shortlisted for Oscar consideration, recognizing the film as one of the best among this year’s films. The film stands among fifteen selections, chosen from eighty-eight entries in the Animated Short Film category. The film will premiere February 15, 2025- until then, you can view the trailer here. We’re grateful for the power of storytelling and how it brings us together to reflect.

As we celebrate creativity and storytelling this holiday season, the Clapham team has shared their personal recommendations for films and shows to enjoy over the next week!

It’s a Wonderful Life

“I heard recently about a film in development regarding Jimmy Stewart based on his essay in Guideposts.  Read it, and watch it.  You will never be able see the scene of Stewart praying without crying along.”

- Mark Rodgers

Ghosts UK / Ghosts

“I recommend the show Ghosts UK and/or its American counterpart, Ghosts for some good laughs amidst a clever and engaging premise.”

- Juliet Vedral

Ted Lasso

“Because Ted Lasso blends humor, heart, and hope to remind us that kindness, optimism, patience, and teamwork in the face of adversity are what lift and change hearts and minds.”

- Anna Fronzaglia

Spirited (Apple TV)

“A twist on a Christmas Carol with Will Farrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer in big musical numbers, that reminds us happy endings happen, just not always in this life and that for love to be real, it needs to be incarnate.”

- Peter Mitchell

Klaus (Netflix)

“A modern reimagining of the origins of Santa Claus. with a unique plot but ends up a very merry story!”

- Jonathan Markgraaff

Family Man

“A funny and wholesome film that explores the 'what ifs' of life, reminding us of the importance of family amidst the pulls of everyday existence, and how love and sacrifice bring us closer together.”

- Libby Scroggins

We hope you enjoy, Merry Christmas from the Clapham team!
